Some organic cotton poppy yarn arrived from Denmark.  Babydoll made herself a new dress and bracelet. Now recycling and ripping a vintage sheet into rag yarn for a divine poppy rag sweater.

Fair Fair

Babydoll and moi went to a Fair Trade Mini Fair at Bio Roy in Gothenburg yesterday.  (Our friend Lene of Leluma participated with the Eco Fashion Group.) Babydoll learned a lot about fair trade and organic production by watching a film twice and talking to the participants. She especially liked Klädoteket, a collective wardrobe, where members can borrow used designer and reworked clothes instead of buying new. A fun and clever alternative to hysterical mass consumption. Babydoll was also very impressed by a group of design students from Angeredsgymnasiet and their ‘Conscious Fashion Show’ - show casing the dark sides of fashion and clothes production.. TMX was soooo annoyed she had chosen to stay home.
